The Best Of The Doors is 19 Group tracks compiled on two CDs. Mastering album has Bruce Bothnia of California study Digital Magnetics .
The album itself was released by Elektra Records, which later was taken over by WEA, and now is owned by WEA WMG (Warner Music Group).
The album was responsible distribution of WEA International, and he was destined to be sold in Europe and the USA. On the back cover bears mention: Manufactured In Germany. Teldec Record Service GmbH .
Teldec (I will explain the compression in a separate section) since 1988 belonged to a group WEA earlier albums pressed by Teldec (Telefunken and Decca ) had no logos on the record company WEA, or cover, so my suppositions suggest to me that this album was released after 1988.
The discs also bears the sign: Made in Germany (West Germany did not , as if it was the case with the 1985 edition) Although the indications for Teldec company has been mixed. Do not change the fact that the album has the same mastering as the 1985 edition. It seems to me that this album is a re-edit of the first.
The album includes the group's greatest hits: Light My Fire, Alabama Song, "Riders On The Storm etc. Of course, remember that it was used during the mastering of analog tapes. Do not change the fact that the album is regarded as one of the few having the correct mastering. Subsequent re-edits from the 90's, based mainly about the same mastering, but they are not identical to mastering.
Collector's Album of no value. You can find it almost everywhere.
