"Can you believe my eyes?" - An optical illusion.

3.02.2011r Day. in class we talked about optical illusions. We learned how a mirage phenomenon and what role it plays in temperature.

Experiment 1
Subject: Invisible bottle.

Observations:
Immersed part of the bottle is invisible. This is because the refractive indices of glass and glycerol are very similar.

Conclusions:
speed with which light moves in certain types of glass is the same as in the glycerol. Experiment 2

Subject: oil light smuggler.

Observations:
Lighting the spot light from the wall is much more intense than when it passes through dry paper.

Conclusions:
dry piece retaining part of the light rays. Oil, however, entering the paper fibers creates small translucent light permeable cracks. Experiment 3

Subject: trust your own eyes?

optical illusion image-wrong information by the brain under the influence of contrast, shadows, color use, which automatically put the brain in a wrong way of thinking. The illusion results from the mechanisms of perception, which usually helps in the perception. Under certain conditions, however, may cause apparently the only real impression.

(During the course we are acquainted with the "café wall illusion," and the "illusion Ponza, "Hermann grid," "impossible figures", "invisible, an object" and the "spinning wheel".)
