Very early edition of the popular film soundtrack to promote Midnight Express of 1978. This edition probably appeared in late 1983, and was available for sale until the end of 1984. The music is composed by Giorgio Moroder .

Soundtrack released by Casablanca Records with a specific disc collector design, which bears the name 'Yellow Rays'. Issue relatively rare. Both the booklet (actually four pages) and the disk was produced in West Germany.

Curiosity is an attempt to print on the outside back cover which have been able to print only the part number. Such errors have happened in the first few months promoting the Compact Disc format .
